Tom Candler
Founder and President
Tom's history began in Central Illinois where his father, Rev. T. Owen Candler, pastored several small Methodist Churches. As he grew up God graciously kept Tom close to Himself. Tom joined the United States Coast Guard after one year at Greenville College where he studied Elementary Education with an emphasis in Physical Education. He has traveled through and worked in several states during his tours of duty with the Coast Guard. He retired from the Coast Guard in 2004 as a Chief Warrant Officer (W-4). Since 2005, he has been working with Samaritan Ministries' Member Services Department. Tom is blessed to be the husband to Espi of 21 years and father to Josiah, Sierra, Lenna, Elita, Hannah, and 7 blessings in heaven due to miscarriages. The Candler Family resides in Tremont, Illinois
Bryan Evans
Vice President
Bryan has grown up, lived, worked, and started a family in the Midwest, mostly in central Illinois. Bryan has worked a variety of different jobs since his early adult life including nearly 20 years in the restaurant industry. In July of 2000 Bryan began working for Samaritan Ministries as a Member Services Specialist, and after several years became Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Bryan was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Samaritan Ministries in 2003 and serves in that capacity to this day. In 2004 Bryan ran for State Treasurer of Illinois on the Constitution Party ticket. Bryan also serves as an Elder at Providence Church in Peoria, Illinois. Bryan has been happily married to Kim for 21 years and is father to Colton, Samuel, Jacob, Grace, Levi, Jedidiah, Faith, and Jonas. The Evans Family resides in Hopedale, Illinois.
Micah Repke
Treasurer
Micah's parents were missionaries to Basil where they cared for orphans and practiced experimental farming. Micah studied horticulture and was in charge of an orchard. After the family returned to the United States when he was 17, Micah worked two years building custom homes with his dad. Micah has been employed at Samaritan Ministries since February of 2000 except for a 15 month break to study Nouthetic (Biblical) Counseling. He is currently a Team Leader at Samaritan Ministries. Micah is engaged to be married to Ms. Johanna Martin on August 30th, 2008. The Repke Family is scheduled to reside in Peoria, Illinois after the wedding.
John Creath
Secretary
John grew up and lived in central Georgia working several jobs including running his own lawn care business and working in the restaurant industry. In February of 2007 he moved to Central Illinois to work for Samaritan Ministries in the Public Policy and Member Services Departments. John has also worked in conjunction with the Alliance of Health Sharing Ministries. John is currently fulfilling educational prerequisites to hopefully be accepted to Oak Brook School of Law in 2009. John married Whitney on April 21st of 2007 and they were recently blessed with their first child, John IV. The Creath Family resides in Peoria, Illinois.
