It is by God’s grace that we would like to introduce a project that will, through the help of God’s people, save the lives of children who otherwise would be aborted.
This project is called “The Morning Center”.
Why The Morning Center? We are a fallen people due to our sinful nature. With that in mind we as people need to be continually reminded where we stand as a nation in the eyes of God. We see this in the Bible. God instructed the children of Israel to build altars as memorials to remind themselves of the sorrow and death related to their sin as a nation. After Christ’s’ coming to atone for our sins we as God’s people view the cross in a similar way. When we see a cross we not only remember our painful sin but we also see how Jesus has renewed us and given us a new morning in Him. We sadly find that some things never change and that we as people still need memorials in our lives in order for us to be reminded of where we stand with our Creator.
How many memorials have been constructed for WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and 911? Now think of ALL the unborn children who have been murdered? After Roe v. Wade, an average of 1.37 million babies per year have been aborted. If we built a memorial for just one year with a penny representing each of those babies the tower would have an 18inch base and would be about ten feet tall.
What is The Morning Center? Our plans are to build a memorial center that will be highlighted with 35 towers, one tower representing each year, each of these towers will contain a penny for every child who has died in or out of the womb as a result of an abortion. The towers will be partially constructed of glass to see the volume of babies represented. There will also be an information center for guests. There will not be pictures of aborted babies, but information about ways to save and promote the life of a child through adoptions and other alternatives. Eventually we would like to have a designated area to giving women free sonograms to show that their baby is not a tissue, but a child who will need the love and care of his or her parents. We need to build these memorial towers yearly with the hope that their existence will diminish the need for their future development.
How to help The Morning Center Project? There are three ways: One, you can pray that God will convict the hearts of this nation and that His love will cause them to repent and cease the killing of our children. This is the only way the Morning Center project will work. Two, you and your family can send your pennies for the filling of the towers. And finally, three, you can donate to our property/building fund and operating costs of The Morning Center.
